A Real Vacation

Well, we had a real vacation this winter break. I'm not sure how we managed it, but we were all off for two weeks. We didn't leave the house unless we wanted to. Usually we are all running in different directions having to be somewhere for something.

I managed to get quite a bit of housework done. We had a party for Sylvia's birthday and that was the excuse I used to get many things done that have been on my list for a long time. I don't know what's wrong with me, but I don't have a single picture of the party. I think everyone had fun. There were glowsticks, videogames, and lots of food. We had a jumphouse in the back yard and they destroyed two piƱatas full of candy, junky toys and confetti. It was a big mess. The highlight of the party was Sylvia's room signing. We got some UV pens and let the guests graffiti the walls of her bedroom. It's OK 'cause you can only see it with a black light. I'll try to get a picture of it.

Christmas was fun, but mostly quiet. We made a ham dinner, the kids played all their new games, Shawn played WOW, and I got some sewing done and enjoyed the break from my daily schedule. It's too bad I don't have many pictures of any of it. Oh well, such is life.
